Job Role : Livestock Herdsman

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and productivity of the herd
• Ensure proper feeding, watering, and sheltering of the animals, as well as monitoring their health and well-being.
• Plan and supervise the movement of livestock animals between grazing areas, ensuring they have access to adequate and nutritious forage.
• Manage rotational grazing, monitor grazing patterns, and prevent overgrazing.
• Livestock herdsman is responsible for safely handling and moving livestock animals.
• Observe livestock animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress. They report any health issues to the relevant authorities or veterinary professionals

Skills :

• Practical experience and knowledge of livestock handling and management practices.
